William Shatner's Acting Awards

tv boston legal william shatner receives emmy
Good article on Boston Legal, but just because William Shatner plays someone he resembles shouldn't discount the acting.

Who is Shatner on Boston Legal? He’s Denny Crane, a womanizing, aging lawyer who is bombastic, arrogant, and prone to speaking about himself in the third person. How little effort it must take for Shatner to perform this role, and how sad that the efforts of truly talented people, like Joss Whedon and everyone who worked on Buffy the Vampire Slayer or a marvelous show like Carnivale goes unnoticed and unrewarded by award shows, and Shatner gets an Emmy for being a character much like himself.
