Who's Dead?
And yeah…I know Barry Corbin is currently part of the cast of One Tree Hill, so all you fanboys lay off. I prefer to think of Barry when he was on a REAL network…not some teen-show on the WB.

One Tree Hill Music
I originally wanted to keep it upbeat with just some great sounding pop songs (’cause I love a pretty, memorable, and singable melody) but I just can’t seem to stay away from those sad, slow, earnest songs. So it gets slower and sadder at the end. A lot of the songs were also played on One Tree Hill this season. I just can’t kick that show no matter how bad the writing can get sometimes because I adore the music that gets featured on it. The show’s second soundtrack is coming out next Tuesday and Tyler Hilton’s cover of John Waite’s “Missing You” is on it. I totally love that song!

Drama, Drama, Drama
But does anyone watch One Tree Hill?? Or Laguna Beach for that matter?? I’m so addicted to both of them…i know while Laguna was airing, me and my roommate would be on my bed at 9:58 every monday night waiting for it to come on, and THEN we would go out and party! Our Monday nights revolved around Laguna Beach. And now, Wednesday nights revolve around One Tree Hill because I’m obsessed with that show too. Every Wednesday at 8 pm on WB38 (in Orlando it’s WB18…but i know it’s WB “something 8″ here) All three of those shows are full of their own drama…I guess that’s why all of America watched them. But I’ve been hearing about this Nip/Tuck show yet I’ve only watched it once. My roomie loves it too…hmm..!! DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA!! I love it on TV, but hate it in real life!! Too much of it…grrr!!

Review: House Of Wax
A remake. A movie with Paris Hilton. House of Wax is a remake starring Paris Hilton, Elisha Cuthbert, and that annoying dude from that WB show One Tree Hill [Chad Michael Murray]. I don't know why I rented this in the first place. With the exception of Elisha Cuthbert, the cast doesn't really make my list of favourite actors. I really wanted to hate this movie but I didn't. I was surprised with House of Wax. While none of the actors are going to be winning Oscars anytime soon, the story wasn't as horrible as I was expecting. A group of college students are going to a football game and end up camping out overnight on the way to the game. Some weird things happen and wouldn't you know it, one of their cars won't start. A couple of the kids end up in this weird town with a wax museum where the statues are made of people [just like Soylent Green - it's people]. More weird things happen and a killer is on the loose looking for a new wax model. Guess what happens next? While I don't think I can quite recommend this movie, it was entertaining enough to view from start to finish with a few scares.

One Tree Hill Returns
The long-awaited third season of One Tree Hill has finally arrived. Been waiting for almost 6 months for it when the second season ended in a sensationally abrupt but nail-biting scene when Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) confessed his feelings for Brooke but she had to leave Tree Hill for the summer. The first installment of the new season was pretty much brief flashbacks of what happened during the summer, an old but common trick used by the directors/creators of One Tree Hill. However, it was still quite a satisfying opening to the season. By the way Hilarie Burton’s new look is just so hot. Been picturing her new look since One Tree Hill initially started.

TV Addiction
i have a really-bad-tv addiction. it all started with saved by the bell as a kid, but has led to such things as miss match, the strip, one tree hill and the gilmore girls. i spend an alarming amount of time watching tv every week, and have been known to skip out on sleeping for a night just because i haven't had the chance to watch all my shows at reasonable times.

Dangling
Another day for me to party hard before Semester 3 commences but neh, probably just stay at home and watch TV to kill time. I managed to finish both seasons of One Tree Hill in a week and now I’m feeling remorseful having done so. The finale for Season 2 is total killer and now we’re left dangling on an inconclusive conclusion. Can’t wait for Season 3!

Who's On Base?
I keep forgetting to mention that I was watching Roswell the other day and who appeared on the screen? None other than Logan Echolls from Veronica Mars. The actor Jason Dohring has a somewhat pivotal role in the arc where Alex (Colin Hanks) dies in Season 2. He plays the delivery guy who is the last one to see him alive. Also, he was the original “Coop” from Once and Again the first time the character appears. I loved that show! But then Adam Brody played Coop the rest of the series. And while I’m on a roll, do you remember who played Tad on Once and Again? It was James Lafferty who now plays Nathan Scott from One Tree Hill. I would’ve never expected that move. Both Coop and Tad were very peripheral roles. But they got everyone to where they are now.

Paul Holmes, Past His Prime
So the first show; Paul plants a tree on One Tree Hill. Well actually, he just stands around and watches someone else do the planting while being patronising. I dislike that he uses nationalism for his ratings, but I'm sure it will appeal to some people. Perhaps, as mentioned in the Herald interview, he just wants to be appreciated?

Better Incentives for Shows Like One Tree Hill
For example, the WB television series, One Tree Hill, which spends about $1.5 million an episode, would get $225,000 back for each show. That's a lot of money, but not compared to losing the series altogether, said McComas, who filed the House bill. Boseman filed the Senate version. "You save 15 percent (without incentives)," he said. "But if there's nothing, it's not going to cost us anything because 15 percent of nothing is nothing."
